Account Manager – Pharma Ingredients

As we deliver our ambitious 2030 Growth Strategy, we’re looking for a Account Manager, responsible to identify, develop and maintain profitable sales in the designated market in line with annual targets/sales plan and to negotiate best possible commercial agreements with customers. 

Who We’re Looking For: 

·         Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, other technical field or Business Preferred.

·         3+ years' experience in B2B sales with a proven track record of success.

·         Strong commercial/sales acumen. Willingness to travel and visit customers 3 days per week.

·         Up to 50% travel is required.

·         Use of C4C, Qlik, and Voyager and general IT systems as required or the ability to develop this in < 3 months.

·         Proficient in MS Office.

What You’ll Be Doing: 

·       Sustain or grow market share with existing clients.
Identify and secure new business opportunities by collaborating on projects with diverse stakeholders, including R&D and Purchasing teams.
Negotiate pricing and contractual terms to achieve favorable outcomes.
Develop and implement Key Account plans and share them globally where applicable.
Oversee sales contracts and agreements, including management of pricing, payment terms, and rebate structures.
Set and maintain appropriate call frequencies and follow-up activities to ensure robust relationships at all levels within the account.
Prospect for new customers via leads from trade shows, webinars, seminars, etc.
Handle sample requests and inquiries from potential new customers.
Build new business relationships with valid contacts from prospective customers.
Represent Croda professionally throughout the industry.
Maintain knowledge of competitive situations.
Report all customer activity within the C4C database system.
Attend industry events.
Input weekly call reports & sample requests.
Provide monthly updates to opportunity pipeline, CRM and create Quarterly reports.

Additional Information: 

This is a remote position based in San Diego, Los Angeles or San Francisco, California.

Annual Base Salary Range: $115,000.00 to $140,000.00.  This range reflects the base salary the company expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level. Additional compensation, such as annual bonuses or other incentives, may be offered based on eligibility and company policies.
